Faith & Excellence
We appreciate your interest and participation in Trinity Soccer Academy, which is a Challenge and Classic level competitive soccer club. The following is intended to give parents some basic information about the 2020 soccer season.
TRYOUTS: Tryouts are set up by birth year. If you are interested in setting up a tryout for your son or daughter for the Fall 2020 season, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our Tryout page.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registration forms and commitment fees for children invited to play on a Trinity Soccer Academy team are due within three business days from receipt of your acceptance email. Space is not guaranteed for those submitting registration after this period. Parents are urged to submit their registration forms through our online system in a timely fashion to avoid disappointment.
PRACTICES: Teams will have practices during the week, normally with either a M/W or T/TH schedule. Some Trinity Classic teams do practice three days a week. During the season, we also provide an optional structured additional practice opportunity for players on Friday evenings. Once you have been placed on a team, your Coach or Team Manager will contact you with your specific practice schedule. Trinity also utilizes Grace Christian School's Crossroads Campus Turf Indoor Athletic Building during inclement weather.
GAMES: Game schedules for each team are created prior to the start of each season. These are typically finalized several weeks prior to the first game. Once your team schedule has been created, your Team Manager will upload your game schedule into the TeamSnap App where you will have full access to dates, locations, and times of both your game and practice schedule. Most Trinity teams play in the NCYSA Classic league, which normally has 11 team Divisions, meaning 10 regular season games. Teams also typically play one or two tournaments each season. So, most Trinity teams play around 13 to 16 games a season.
UNIFORMS: Prior to the start of the season, your Team Manger will provide you a link to order your child's uniform. We have partnered with Soccer.com to provide our players with a cost effective first class game kit. Once your order your child's uniform through our Soccer.com portal, it will be shipped directly to your home. Prior to the start of the season, your Team Manger will help you with any questions you may have with your order.
CLEATS: As a member of Trinity Soccer Academy, families are offered a 15% discount on new shoes and cleats from our partner New Balance Stores of Raleigh & Durham. This includes cleats that may need to be ordered. To receive the discount, all orders need to be placed at either Triangle location. Please visit the link above for store locations.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation has mandated the use of birth year registration (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31) rather than school-year based (Aug. 1 - July 31) age grouping of teams. Age groups will be determined by the player's year of birth. Players may "play up" in age, at the discretion of our Directors. You will have the opportunity to indicate your preference to "play up" when completing the Tryout Registration form.
The below chart lists the Age Divisions for the 2019-2020 Season. Please email with any questions or comments that we may address. Please note, players are required to provide Trinity with a Birth Certificate in order to confirm the player's eligibility when joining a team.
